Since the Day of Pentecost, the church of our Lord Jesus Christ has faced dangers. Today, here are some of the more obvious:
- Society - seduced by its sin, attitude and example
- Government - suffering its control and enforced conformity
- Corruption - decay in life and action of the church itself
- Liberalism - abandoning the true path of our Lord
- Legalism - not trusting the Lord enough to accept the liberty he has given us
- Internal conflict - personality trumping fidelity to the Lord
- Persecution - more than ridicule
- Arrogance - the true disease of the Scribes and Pharisees
Can we overcome these dangers? Of course; "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." These scriptures can help:

- Practice: Romans 2:6-8
- Coordination: Ephesians 4:16, Philippians 2:1-4
- Separation: 1 Corinthians 10:14
